The Path

I am walking down this path of my life

and I know that this will not be my last strife

I know that I have a mission that I must succeed

and that many others I must lead

There have been many people who have told me so

but can never tell me which path to go

everyone says you will do great things

but where on earth will I do these things

I want to know what plans are set out for me

and so then I can live my life accordingly

I need to know what path to take

so that a mess of my life I do not create

why cant a sign just appear

instead of shedding so many tears

we always want to know which path to go down

instead of searching all around

we do not want to face the hardship and pain

even though an experience we will gain

we want to cower from what our lives will become

and have someone just tell us, someone, anyone

just to know and to not have to try and try

and to not face the pains that make our hopes run dry

but we cannot just have it handed to us

it is something that becomes of us

it defines who we are and who we will become

and we are different from everyone

we must choose the path we must take

even though we may make many mistakes

and we will see from our acts and our ways

if we have gone the right ways
