When we see those that we love after a long while
it makes our hearts brighten up with a smile
We feel the sudden sense of relief and joy
that distance seems to destroy
it is such a grand feeling to be back home
and abandon the fright of being alone
although being home is such a gift
our duties it does not lift
we know that we cannot stay here for very much longer
and in leaving it makes our hearts grow stronger
we have to brave the distance that separates our laughter and fun
and remember that we will never be done
another time will come
when we will unite with everyone
and the stories of the past
will seem to forever last
and the time we spent away will not seem so bad
but when we leave again it will still be sad
at least we know that those who we love will be in our minds
and our memories will create adventures of every kind
